Conductor Shelly Berg, pianist, composer and educator, is the chair of Jazz Studies at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. His work for film includes orchestrating and/or composing for "Men of Honor" (Fox 2000, Robert DeNiro), "Almost Heroes" (Warner Bros., Chris Farley), and "Three to Tango" (Warner Bros., Matthew Perry). Television credits include "A League of Their Own" (CBS), "Fudge" (ABC), "The Sixties" (NBC), and "The Dennis Miller Millenium Special" (HBO).
Mr. Berg has performed and orchestrated with symphony orchestras world wide, including the Royal Philharmonic, American Symphony, and orchestras in Tokyo, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. He was commissioned to compose an extended work for the World Festival of Sacred Music in celebration of the millennium.
