It was fantastic to connect with USC Thornton Vocal Arts at the recent National Association of Teachers of Singing Inaugural Science-Informed Pedagogy Institute. I loved geeking out with my fellow DMA alums Marisa de Silva and Maria Maxfield and continuing our education with Prof Lynn Helding. The incredible Faculty also included the NATS Exec Director Allen Henderson (pictured below) as well as John Nix and Amelia Rollings Bigler.
As NATS-LA is about to launch into a new Executive Board, I am feeling so grateful to be a part of such a meaningful professional organization. I love being able to give my students the opportunity to learn in masterclasses, participate in competitions and get meaningful feedback, as well as receive continuing education that incorporates technique, performance practices, and voice science. And you get to meet some amazing people along the way!!
